I was tasked with creating a postcard for a local salesperson to send out to potential clients. Taking inspiration from vintage postcards I went with the slogan “Wish You Were Here” but instead of the city, the “here” that is being referred to was the media space on the bus. Working with the salesperson, we decided to make the advertisement space on the bus be some text that was a good selling point.
A couple weeks after having these mailed out, the salesperson let me know she got her first sale as a result of the postcard. My coworker then adapted my art to make a postcard for another market and we also decided to make self-promo bus shelters with the same slogan.
