The crime based mystery novel Code Black explores the underground world of the MBTA. After an apparent terrorist strike, veteran cop Morris Fitzgerald and his partner Elijah are on the case to figure out what exactly was the cause of this St. Patrick’s Day attack.

After reading the novel, the green smoke from the attack was an inspiration for me. I wanted to make sure to have that as a feature of the cover design. I traveled around on the MBTA taking pictures at different stops and outside the station until I found the perfect ones. I love the final result and even more importantly, the clients loved it as well.
